Conservation Status

The red panda does not have many relationships since they are considered solitary animals. The predators of the red panda are snow leopards and martens, which is an animal related to the minks and weasels. But, the most dangerous enemy of the red panda is us (humans). Humans have hunted/poached these poor animals for their fur, especially their tail which is commonly used as hats. In many countries, the red panda's fur was used for weddings and cermonies. For example, in China the red panda's tail is considered good luck and is often worn in newlyweds. Another problem that we give to the red pandas is that their enviroment is being destroyed, so the number of red pandas are decreasing. We use the trees for lumber and fuel which results in red pandas having no place to stay. Not all humans are enemies with the red panda; in fact, people in Nepal keep these adorable animals as pets. Even though some red pandas are kept as pets the status for red pandas are Vulnerable, so we should stop destorying these animal's habitat.
